John

'John wanted me to let you know that he passed all 8 of the GCSE exams that he took this year, achieving grades from A to C. He mostly received C grades, but we are all delighted that he achieved a B grade in his English language exam! John thought you would particularly like to know about that milestone. ‘ (John went on to Bloxham from MHS).

‘The best move we ever made was the one from Teddington to enable our two dyslexic sons to attend Moon Hall School. Lacking the ability to acquire age-appropriate skills in the classroom, the future for our elder son was uncertain. Aged 8, his self-esteem was rock-bottom, but once at Moon Hall he started to make progress, learnt to have faith in himself and was then able to go on to the next stage of education with confidence. Now aged 26, he has two degrees, is on his way to becoming a solicitor and is positive about the future. Our younger son was fortunate in that his dyslexia was recognised earlier and did not suffer the same angst about his academic performance. His path is a creative one and he is now working for himself producing and directing films and music videos.
One son recently said, “Thanks for sending me to Moon Hall,” and I think that is the best accolade the school could have.’

“I just wanted to drop you and your wonderful staff a line to thank you all for your hard, dedicated work.  My son Rowan was so lucky to be able to attend your school.  Your teaching gave him the confidence to get where he is today and we are truly grateful.  Rowan has just started university reading Economics, Finance and Banking.  He is so happy and doing so well.  A huge thank you to all who taught Rowan and to Berry Baker who founded such a wonderful school. “  Alison (parent)
